In comparison with &lt;a title="Powerlifting" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerlifting"&gt;powerlifting&lt;/a&gt; which tests limit strength (with or without lifting aids), weightlifting tests ballistic limits (explosive strength) with smaller weights such that the lifts must be executed more quickly and with more mobility because of a greater range of motion during the lifts. Practice is underway at Camas high school during the zero period. Upcoming training for the USAW Club Coach Level 1 Certification, at Thrush Performance, is happening December 13th and 14th. If your interested in going let us know. H.E.L. is also doing a CrossFit Barbell Cert in January.
